Project Description

Since January 2021, we have been working alongside Osborne Construction and Orms Architects at the SavoyStrand on behalf of the Duchy of Lancaster.

SavoyStrand comprises 35000 SQ FT of contemporary office space, which sits just a stone’s throw from the River Thames. SavoyStrand is a Grade I 1930s listed building that occupies a prominent and prestigious position at 105-109 Strand in Central London.

The refurbishment works included the addition of a two-storey rooftop mansard extension clad in zinc shingles, which has been added along the Strand, and a new three-storey brick and stone extension to Savoy Steps.

We have delivered fit-out joinery services for the new reception, including feature wall and doors in elm as well as Corian superloos incorporating sinks, mirrors & handwash facilities. We have also provided the internal feature door package, external fire doors as well as riser doors throughout the building.

This project featured intricate and technical architectural designs, a challenge to which the WJL team has risen. We are delighted to be handing over this project and are proud of the work completed.
