Project Description

Project Value: £1.45m
Client: Osborne

Winchester University presented an opportunity for WJL to provide extensive and highly complex design input including 3D modelling and structural work.

We provided a mixture of finishes on acoustic panelling, both loose and fitted furniture, a specialist doorset package which included doorway portals and large scale bespoke joinery installations that allowed us to demonstrate our wide ranging skill set both in manufacture and on site.

The result was a stunning building providing a wide variety of new facilities for the students including an auditorium, contemplation space, library, food hall and study spaces.

“The West Down Centre for the University of Winchester was a great project for one of our top customers, Osborne Construction. It comprised a significant amount of large scale bespoke joinery including 4m polyhedric acoustic fins, a contemplation space and a number of portal door surrounds. A fantastic project of which we are incredibly proud!”
